The pediatric oncologist, Dr. Hochberg, came in this morning. We had hoped she could tell us more, but she was not able to find the CT scan so it could be hours until we get her analysis. She did say that Ana’s liver enzymes looked good and there were some other markers that looked promising. She thinks the tumor bled into her liver, or at least I think that’s what she said and that is what was causing the anemia. She also said that there is not yet an official cancer diagnosis. Ana will get a chest x-ray and then an MRI. We will wait for more tests and of course the biopsy. She may also get a bone scan and a bone marrow aspiration. So, it’s looking to be a long week.
