In the wild ride that has become my life, I was about to say that I am in the midst of a lull since Ana’s not scheduled for anything this week and just one follow-up visit next week. Then I checked my email.
I heard back from Maria (a coordinator and physician’s assistant on the Columbia team). Ana’s PELD score has been increased from -8 to 35. That means she’s near the top of the list and she could literally be called in for transplant at any moment. Any hour of the day. Any day of the week. We need to have bags packed, back up plans in place for Emily (and for our cats and gerbil) and I NEED TO TAKE DEEP BREATHS.
