I’m home with Emily now. I decided to risk one night away from Ana so I could try to get my house in order, spend a little time with Emily and set up the week so I can be away from work. I’ll go back to the hospital tomorrow and Emily will stay over at her aunt Amy’s.
Ana was asleep when I left the hospital at 7:30 or so – she’d just gotten more morphine. Her pain was really bad – she is having a hard time sitting up, but once she is up the pain seems to subside somewhat. She can also walk but sitting from a standing position hurts her.
Jim texted me from the hospital and said that Ana was getting a CT scan tonight, which is good because it’s one less test we have to wait for tomorrow. She will hopefully get her MRI tomorrow and from there we’ll know a lot more.
I’m terrified. I’m sad. I’m so angry. I just want Ana home and healthy. I don’t have the words to express how much we appreciate everyone’s overwhelming messages of support and love. I will try to get back to everyone this week. Please keep checking this care page and know that we are reading your messages of hope and they are keeping us strong.
