Without Guilt or Anxiety
Today I picked up the proceeds from the yard sale and in the envelope was a card from Sara and the yard sale planning team. In the card Sara writes “We hope you can receive it without guilt or anxiety – it is from a loving, caring community of folks who want nothing more than Ana’s healing and for you both to believe in the circles of support that continue to grow during this challenging time.”
Thank you Sara for this important reminder, the truth is that Jackie and I are pretty proud and excepting help is not easy for us. I do have a tremendous amount of guilt and anxiety over accepting this. On the other hand, I do know that all of this support comes from an amazing community that has been there to help others and will be here for anyone else who may need help in the future. I’m proud to be part of this community and I know that the love and caring far outweighs any guilt or anxiety that I may feel.
Your help is also directly effecting Ana’s heath by alleviating some financial anxiety and letting us keep our wits while we focus on things like second opinions, keeping Ana well fed, happy and correctly medicated.
I’ve had many opportunities to say thank you for a home cooked meal, for babysitting , for children emptying their piggy banks and buying cookies and hot chocolate from the Healing Ana Café and so much more. So again I say thank you for everyone who donated an item, bought something, and cleaned up in the rain. And thank you Sara and everyone who volunteered.
